Allison Schiller is an Advisor and Director of Innovation at trepwise, bringing her experience in architecture, design practice and design thinking to work with organizations in discovering, exploring, and developing user-centric solutions to complex challenges. Allison has worked with clients to facilitate conversations, workshops and creative strategic planning to diverse topics such as organizational culture and innovation, Board development, campus mental health, HR practice evaluation, and disaster preparedness.
Allison earned her B.A. in film studies and creative writing from the University of California at Santa Barbara. She spent her junior year studying film history and production in Italy, later working in film production, post-production, and film festivals in San Francisco, Austin, and New York. In 2008, Allison moved to New Orleans where she worked for a year in the Tulane University Architect’s Office.
While earning her master’s degree in architecture from the Tulane School of Architecture, Allison spent two semesters working on design/build projects, including the award-winning Grow Dat Youth Farm project and the Delassize community garden in the Central City neighborhood. These experiences deepened Allison’s commitment to public interest design, community engagement, and the city she calls home with her family.
Outside of work, Allison serves on the Board of Directors for Grow Dat and relaxes by practicing yoga and spending time with her three kids, husband, and scruffy mutts, Barkus and Banksy.
