Geoffrey

As Chief Operating Officer at Trepwise, Geoffrey Hamlyn provides senior oversight over all client engagements and client-facing team members and oversees operational elements of the firm.

He brings over a decade of experience managing and consulting for nonprofits, businesses, and government agencies at the local, state, and federal level. As a Senior Advisor, Geoffrey has led and provided specialist support for dozens of engagements and brings expertise around systems change and coordination, nonprofit governance, strategic planning, public policy, and stakeholder engagement.

Prior to joining the Trepwise team, Geoffrey worked closely with a large federal agency to develop and implement a communications and stakeholder engagement strategy for a multi-year technology transformation impacting over 200 million US taxpayers. Prior to that time, he served as Executive Director for a 501c3 nonprofit with a mission of supporting youth organizations in Haiti. During his tenure, he successfully scaled operations and secured funding to fully rebuild two earthquake ravaged facilities. His policy research has focused on inter-system coordination for patients with complex behavioral health challenges and accessibility and barriers to patient care.

A native of El Paso, TX, Geoffrey is also an accomplished violist who cares deeply about the role of the arts in strengthening the fabric of communities. He is proud to serve on the boards of New Orleans’ internationally recognized Birdfoot Chamber Music Festival and for the New Orleans Civic Symphony, where he also performs as principal violist. Geoffrey holds a B.M. from the University of Texas at Austin, Master of Music from the Juilliard School in New York City, and Masters in Public Policy from Duke University.
