Position Overview:  The Advisor role is responsible for leading and managing all facets of client engagements and ensuring we meet and exceed client expectations.  Our teams are cross-functional, meaning that Advisors have the opportunity to work on a wide array of projects, depending on their expertise, interest, and client need.  Client engagements vary in size and duration, but typical engagements may last several months to over a year. Advisors will work on multiple engagements at once. Work can vary from helping a client develop a strategic marketing and social media strategy, to identifying a plan to launch a new product, to helping a non-profit Executive Director and Board articulate organizational mission, vision and values. Additionally, this role will also be responsible for supporting the growth of trepwise by participating in strategic planning efforts to bring on new clients, potentially new lines of business, and by helping train and give feedback to Associates.

trepwise Advisors hold generalist roles and are expected to work with clients in multiple sectors across all of the areas listed above. We recognize that each applicant brings different functional and sector-specific expertise, and may not be highly knowledgeable in all areas listed above. We will provide the training necessary to further develop an individual’s skills so he or she can be a generalist.

Experience & Skills:

  • Experience: BA required; MBA Preferred; with 5-7 years of relevant work experience in the following sectors:
    • Entrepreneurship

    • Brand Management
    • Operations/Logistics Management
    • Finance and Accounting
    • Consulting
    • Non-Profit/Government
  • Skills Desired:
    • Analytic problem solving, ability to frame a strategic solution to a problem
    • Ability to think creatively about a challenge or problem
    • Ability to multitask and meet competing deadlines
    • Financial analysis capabilities (in Excel a plus)
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Experience with website development and/or design a plus
