Geoffrey Hamlyn (he/him) is Strategic Advisor to Trepwise, where he advises the firm’s leadership on strategic growth and select client engagements. Prior to assuming this advisory role, Geoffrey served as Trepwise’s Chief Operating Officer for nearly six years, helping lead the firm’s growth, operations, and client delivery.
Geoffrey brings more than fifteen years of experience advising nonprofits, businesses, and government agencies at the local, state, and federal levels. At Trepwise, Geoffrey led dozens of engagements, bringing expertise in systems change, organizational strategy, nonprofit governance, public policy, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement.
Geoffrey’s career spans consulting, nonprofit leadership, public policy, and the performing arts. As a Senior Consultant at Deloitte, he worked closely with a large federal agency to implement a multi-year technology modernization effort impacting more than 200 million U.S. taxpayers. Prior to that, he served as Executive Director of a nonprofit supporting youth-serving organizations in Haiti, where he successfully scaled operations and secured funding to rebuild two facilities following the devastating 2010 earthquake.
His policy research has focused on inter-system coordination for patients with complex behavioral health needs and improving access to healthcare. An accomplished violist, Geoffrey trained in New York City with renowned pedagogue Heidi Castleman and maintains an active performing career with orchestras and chamber music ensembles.
Geoffrey holds a Master of Public Policy from Duke University, with a concentration in health policy, a Master of Music in Viola Performance from The Juilliard School, and a bachelor’s degree from The University of Texas at Austin. He has been published in both peer-reviewed journals and management publications.
A resident of Portland, Oregon, Geoffrey is actively involved in his community through nonprofit board service, volunteer leadership, and his work as a performer with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra and Orchestra Nova Northwest. When he’s not working, performing, or enjoying Portland’s renowned food scene, he and his family can often be found exploring the Pacific Northwest with their beloved collie, Leia.
