As Managing Director at Trepwise, Lauren Siegel serves with purpose—bringing people together to turn ideas into collective action. Through her 15 years of experience in systems and organizational planning, she works with clients and team members to design engaging, inclusive, and authentic planning experiences that make an impact. In addition to leading a portfolio of client projects, Lauren guides Trepwise project teams with expertise in humane leadership, inclusive culture, collaborative design, and community engagement. She works hard to build community around Trepwise, ensuring that all people, clients, community, and team members, feel included and valued in the firm’s work.
In partnership with her clients, Lauren explores big challenges faced by organizations and communities, such as: equitable economic development, safe and healthy working environments, and sustainable revenue growth. Lauren leads many of Trepwise’s projects in systems change and strategic planning. She works closely with nonprofit, for profit, and public sector entities, as well as coaching individual leaders. Lauren’s style is inviting and curious, and she understands that meaningful change requires human connection. Some of her recent projects include: the 2035 Vision Plan for Greater New Orleans, the JEDCO Edge Strategic Plan, New Orleans & Company, Reconcile New Orleans, the Louisiana Department of Health, Tulane University, and many more.
Prior to joining Trepwise, Lauren worked as an operations and marketing consultant in food & beverage, healthcare, and public health. Lauren obtained her B.A. in French and MBA in Strategic Management & Global Leadership from Tulane University. While in graduate school, Lauren contributed to several major community projects, including an assessment of the Economic Impact of Mardi Gras on New Orleans. She also led student engagement on the Graduate Business Council and Tulane’s Women in Business Association. As a result of her service, she received the Tulane 34 Award, given to students who demonstrate exemplary leadership, service, and academic excellence during their time at Tulane. She has since been honored as a City Business Woman of the Year and featured in local and national media discussing topics like intergenerational workplace culture and women in leadership.
Lauren is a second generation New Orleanian. Born and raised in the city by transplant parents, she has always seen herself as an integral link between the city’s historical culture and a sustainable and innovative future. Lauren’s passion for elevating a diverse set of voices drives her to coach and mentor emerging leaders through organizations such as Junior Achievement, Fund 17, Tulane Freeman School of Business, and Friends of Codey’s. She is also a lover of bivalves and enjoys both slurping and shucking oysters of all origins.
