The ROLE
Associates are essential members of the team and are responsible for simultaneously supporting many client engagements and working with multiple project leads to ensure successful outcomes, deliverables, and relationships with clients.
Associates must be able to approach projects with flexibility and manage competing priorities, as work can vary from supporting a multi-year organizational planning process, to gaining insights from diverse groups of institutions to address social challenges, to providing insights and research findings around organizational culture change.
Essential ASSOCIATE DUTIES
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
- Meet all deadlines in one’s own work
- Proactively manage up to meet project-level deadlines
- Enter all tasks into Asana with assignee and deadline
- Fluidly prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects
- Own client scheduling and follow up
- Independently project manage a small engagement (e.g. Coaching)
DELIVERABLE CREATION
- Develop project work plans
- Draft internal and client-facing meeting agendas
- Create client-facing meeting summaries
- Draft high quality client reports, presentations, and communications
- Review deliverables for accuracy and grammar/spelling issues
- Draft deliverables in-line with Trepwise standards with appropriate guidance and support
RESEARCH, ANALYSIS & SYNTHESIS
- Perform and synthesize research on a variety of topics
COMMUNICATION
- Respond to all internal and external communications in a timely manner and in accordance with Trepwise communications standards
OTHER DUTIES
- Manage and request supplies and materials for facilitations
- Apply basic design techniques to make deliverables visually appealing
- Contribute ideas and feedback to project lead
- Lead stakeholder conversations
- Independently project manage a Mid-Sized Engagement (e.g. $10k – $30k Project)
- Analyze qualitative and quantitative data sets to identify themes and trends
- Inform client leads of client issues or challenges
- Own and contribute to internal projects related to equity, culture, strategy, and/or growth
- Support colleagues by taking on other tasks as necessary

Trepwise team members are occasionally required to work evenings and weekends and may be asked to travel sporadically for client engagements.
Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years’ experience OR 3-5 years’ work experience in business, non-profit management, or related field.
- Experience with project management for multiple projects and people.
- The demonstrated ability to collect information, identify opportunities for improvement, and frame strategic solutions to problems.
- Experience presenting in a professional environment.
Compensation AND BENEFITS
$50,000 – $70,000, commensurate with experience. Trepwise also has a generous package of benefits, including health, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance, the option to enroll in a Simple IRA plan with a 3% match, and unlimited paid time off.

IDEAL CANDIDATES
Our ideal candidate will have a balance of strong project management skills and the potential to advance within our organization, eventually leading internal and client engagements. While non-profit or purpose-driven work experience is preferred, we encourage candidates across a variety of industries and backgrounds to apply, particularly those with experience in project management, strategy development, research & analysis, facilitation, and education.
Trepwise operates in a hybrid work environment, offering employees flexibility in their working location. Employees may choose to work remotely or in the New Orleans office day-to-day. Local (New Orleans-based) team members are generally expected to spend time at the office at least one day per week. Local team members are expected to attend designated in-person team meetings one or more times per month, and may be required to attend certain client meetings in-person as needed. For this position, we are only looking for applicants who live in, or intend to relocate to, New Orleans.
HIRING PROCESS
The selection process consists of three rounds: a behavioral interview, a case study work product and presentation, and a final interview with the leadership team. Reference checks (3), a Predictive Index Behavioral Assessment, and a background check will be conducted for final candidates.
We aim to extend an offer in August 2024, with a start date in late August or early September.
