Turning Big Questions Into Bold, Shared Direction

In 2025, the New Orleans Career Center engaged Trepwise to help develop its next 5-year strategic plan. While their previous planning process had been more internally-focused, this process was designed to engage a much broader range of stakeholders and more effectively reflect the needs of staff and trainees. The plan was meant to unpack and answer key strategic questions related to financial sustainability, NOCC’s role in advocacy, and how the organization can better generate awareness among key stakeholders regarding its role and impact.

Trepwise conducted an in-depth Discovery process and facilitated a planning retreat and set of follow up questions. Critically, we developed a set of Bold Goals: 4 data points that the organization will collectively push towards in the next 5 years. Much like a mission or vision, these goals will orient decision-making and generate organizational buy-in to a shared future.







Results

NOCC received a 5-year strategic plan that included 5-year goals, strategic priorities, specific initiatives, and crucial background information to provide important context on why these initiatives were selected.
