Sustainable Expansion for New Orleans’ biggest BBQ Restaurant
New Orleans chefs Ronnie & Phil were slinging BBQ out of a local bar and venue when they came to Trepwise with a question: how can we establish ourselves as the best BBQ in New Orleans and develop a fun and supportive work culture in an industry often seen as grueling and unsustainable? As we were working together on a solution, a major opportunity arose — a building on a major thoroughfare in New Orleans became available, and the new location of Blue Oak BBQ was born.

Over the next nine months, we worked with the Blue Oak team through targeted working sessions with leadership to build out their new concept, supporting in the design and execution of a crowd-funding campaign, defining organizational values and performance management, and even diving in occasionally to sell some nachos at festivals.
Results
Blue Oak BBQ has since expanded to multiple locations with over 50 employees. They have been featured on the Today Show and voted best BBQ in New Orleans multiple years running. They continue to deliver excellent BBQ, and even better staff experiences.
