Charting the Future of Clean Water & High-Quality Education

The Chris Long Foundation is a Charlottesville-based nonprofit founded by former NFL player Chris Long that aims to support access to clean water and high-quality education worldwide. While the foundation made impressive progress on these issues in the first several years of its existence, the onboarding of new organizational leadership presented an opportunity for thoughtful, intentional planning in order to maximize its impact in the future.

In 2022, Trepwise led a robust strategic planning process that included interviews, focus groups, analogous organization research, brainstorming organizational vision, strategic working sessions, and implementation planning.

Results

As a result of this collaborative work, the Chris Long Foundation finalized a three-year strategic plan, thoughtfully crafted to clearly articulate their approach, strengthen their organizational core, and deepen their impact.
