Expanding Capacity for Coastal Restoration

The Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana (CRCL) is a Louisiana-based nonprofit working to unite people in action to achieve a thriving, sustainable Louisiana coast for all. In 2021, CRCL engaged Trepwise to lead their strategic plan refresh process in an effort to adapt to the changes to the work environment, team, and funder trends brought on by the pandemic.

The process of developing a strategic plan consisted of staff- and board-wide engagement through surveys, interviews, and facilitations to assess progress made against the prior plan, re-align on goals and strategies, and gain team-wide buy-in to the strategic priorities.

Results

As a result, CRCL leadership received a series of deliverables that articulated future priorities as well as streamlined the data-tracking process and identified strategies for team culture building, professional development, and project management. This work allowed CRCL to keep their organization’s strategy agile, adjusting to the changing environment so that they can remain future-focused and innovative.
